How We Teamed Up with Christian Soldiers Auto Detailing to Restore a Can-Am Defender

Here at Protecticoat, we’re all about helping everyday people take care of their equipment, vehicles, and outdoor toys. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with our in-house partner, Christian Soldiers Auto Detailing, to restore a Can-Am Defender that had been put through some serious wear and tear.

The Backstory

This Can-Am Defender wasn’t just any off-road vehicle—it had been driven a whopping 6,279 miles over the past three years by a 15-year-old girl and her friends. Needless to say, it hadn’t seen much in the way of care or cleaning during that time. Mud, dirt, and grime had built up to the point where it was hard to tell what color the vehicle originally was!

When the Defender rolled into our detailing shop, it was clear this project was going to take some elbow grease. But we knew that Protecticoat would be the perfect product to bring it back to life.

The Process

Working together with the team at Christian Soldiers Auto Detailing, we first gave the Defender a deep clean. The best part? We didn’t use any expensive, hard-to-find equipment—just a standard pressure washer that you can find in any hardware store. After a few hours of washing off years of dirt, we had a clean surface ready for Protecticoat.

Next, we applied Protecticoat to seal, protect, and bring out the shine. Protecticoat is designed to work on a variety of surfaces, including the single-stage paint, metal, and plastic that made up the Can-Am Defender. It’s easy to apply, cures in just 24 hours, and provides a durable protective layer that’s perfect for outdoor vehicles like this one.

The Results

When we were done, the transformation was stunning! The Can-Am looked nearly as good as new, and it was hard to believe it was the same vehicle that had arrived covered in layers of grime.

The Best Part? You Can Do It Too!

The magic of this project isn’t just in the results—it’s in how accessible the process was. We used simple tools and Protecticoat, products that any homeowner can use to restore their vehicles and equipment. You don’t need a professional-grade setup to make a big difference; with a bit of time and the right product, anyone can get results like these.

So if you’ve got a piece of equipment, outdoor furniture, or even an old vehicle that’s seen better days, give Protecticoat a try. You’ll be amazed at what it can do!
